Fatima Donaldson is a commercial, fine arts and travel photographer focused on authentic captures of people, places and things translating to a genuine representation in that fleeting moment. Through expertise and skill, she is able to capture and bottle that genuine moment into an image.
Born in Portugal, raised in Maryland/Washington DC area and then venturing to Houston, TX, Fatima is no stranger to changing landscapes. Fatima’s interest in photography started in the ‘80s with training and education using 35mm film and the wet darkroom in junior high, high school and college. Shifts in technology propelled her into the digital realm taking her back to the classroom in 2009 to master digital at Rocky Mountain School of Photography in their Career Intensive program.
Since the 90’s, Fatima has been bringing her expertise in marketing, advertising and business consulting along with creative freedom to interpret how products, services, lifestyles and ideas can be created photographically. In all those years, she has worked in very diverse settings all over the world to create unique captures customized for the project whether that was a Fortune 100 advertising campaign or an upcoming exhibit and everything in between. The projects vary as do the industries. Her naturalist approach is applied to her advertising, fine art and travel bodies of work serving as the common thread that weaves her style into every image.
